FADONA-Endorsed Long-Term Care
Risk Management Certificate

Goal:

To provide convention participants with an education experience that will provide them with the tools to be a long-term care (LTC) skilled nursing facility (SNF) risk manager (RM) and/or effectively interface with the facility/company RM.

Objective:

For participants to take a Florida Association Director of Nursing Administration/LTC (FADONA) exam. The exam would be an endorsement through FADONA that the participant met the criteria through FADONA as a LTC SNF RM. This is not meant to replace the licensure programs through AHCA, but there is currently no legal requirement for RM in LTC.

To be eligible to take the exam for endorsement, the participant will have to have completed 10 out of the 15.5 contact hours for education provided at the convention. To pass the exam, the participant must achieve an 80 percent score of better. A total of 100 multiple-choice questions taken directly from SB1202 as related to RM will be included in the exam.
