Medicare is a federal health insurance program that provides health care coverage for individuals age 65 and older as well as certain persons under age 65 with disabilities. This fact sheet provides a summary of the Medicare program, including who is covered, what services are covered, how Medicare-covered services are delivered, how Medicare is financed, and how much the program spends.

3. "ORIGINAL MEDICARE COST-SHARING REQUIREMENTS, 2005" by Craig Caplan

Provides an overview of Medicare's cost-sharing requirements for Part A- and Part B-covered services in 2005. Deductible and coinsurance requirements are presented in an easy-to-read table format.
